Opus Clip vs Reap: what four 60-minute episodes cost on each
By the KeyMo team · Updated
Reap lists more clipping hours for less money: Creator shows $9.99 a month billed yearly for 10 hours, while OpusClip Pro is $29 a month for 300 credits. OpusClip takes much longer videos (10 hours against 3) and more import sources. KeyMo Starter is $12 for 300 source minutes. All figures were read on 11 October 2026.

Worked example: four 60-minute episodes a month
Four hour-long episodes are 240 source minutes. OpusClip's help centre says processing costs 1 credit per minute of the original video, so that is 240 credits. Reap's help centre also puts clipping at 1 media credit per minute. Here is which plan covers it.
| Plan | Covers 240 minutes? | Price | Per allowance minute |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpusClip Free | No, 60 credits | $0 | n/a |
| OpusClip Starter | No, 150 credits | $15 a month | $0.100 |
| OpusClip Pro | Yes, 300 credits | $29 a month, or $14.50 a month billed $174 yearly | $0.097 monthly, $0.048 yearly |
| Reap Free | No, 1 hour | $0 | n/a |
| Reap Creator | Yes, 10 hours | $9.99 a month shown, billed $119.88 a year | $0.017 |
| KeyMo Starter | Yes, 300 minutes | $12 a month | $0.040 |
On these numbers Reap Creator is the cheapest way to clip four hour-long episodes, and by a wide margin. OpusClip Pro costs nearly six times more per allowance minute on monthly billing, and about three times more on yearly billing. KeyMo Starter sits between them at $12.
- Reap shows annual-billing prices by default and says monthly billing is available at a higher rate, without stating the monthly price. Creator at $9.99 is a $119.88 payment.
- OpusClip's monthly credits expire after 60 days, so unused ones roll over once. Reap says paid-plan credits expire 13 months after purchase.
- Reap lists reframing at 2 media credits per minute and editor processing at 2, against 1 for clipping. We could not tell from its help centre whether a vertical clipping run bills the extra, so check in the app before you count on 600 minutes.
- KeyMo Starter leaves 60 spare minutes after 240 are used. It has no free plan, so you pay $12 before the first clip.
How each tool counts usage
OpusClip's pricing page says credits, and its help centre says one credit is one minute of the video you import, rounded down for partial minutes. A 30-minute video uses 30 credits. Posting to X costs 3 credits per clip per account. Paid users can buy top-up credits.
Reap runs two currencies. Media credits are minutes and cover clipping, captions, reframing and transcription. AI credits cover dubbing and voiceover and cannot be topped up. Media credits can be topped up in packs of 100 on a paid plan. We did not find the top-up price on the pages we read.
Both count the length of the source video, not the number of clips that come out of it. Reap has a time-frame slider so you can process only part of a video. KeyMo also counts source minutes: Starter has 300 and Pro has 900. See KeyMo pricing for the plan list.
Where Reap is stronger
- Price per hour. Creator lists 10 hours for $9.99 a month on annual billing, and Studio lists 20 hours with 4K export for $29, also on annual billing.
- A free plan whose projects stay for 7 days, against a 3-day export window on OpusClip Free. Both free plans give about an hour of processing a month, and Reap Free exports at 720p with a watermark while OpusClip Free allows up to 1080p, also watermarked.
- More caption languages. Reap lists captions in 100+ languages. OpusClip's help centre lists over 25, with only English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese out of beta.
- More output ratios on paid plans, including 4:5, and 50+ caption presets.
- API, CLI and MCP access on every paid plan, per its API page.
Where OpusClip is stronger
- Long inputs. It supports videos up to 10 hours and 30 GB local uploads on Pro. Reap's clipping tops out at 3 hours and 10 GB.
- More import sources. Its help centre lists links from Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Twitch, Dropbox, Riverside, StreamYard, Loom and more, with the wider list on Pro. Reap's pricing table names YouTube, Twitch, X and Vimeo.
- Pro extras: social scheduler, AI B-roll, export to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, bulk export and a two-seat team workspace.
- A project refund. Pro users who have not downloaded a clip can get credits back within 14 days of upload. On the Reap pages we read, credits are refunded only when you cancel a project that is still processing, and we found no subscription refund policy.
- Dubbing that is not marked early access. OpusClip lists dubbing into 25 languages with a clone of your own voice, on Pro and Business only. Reap labels its 80+ language dubbing Early Access.
Which one to pick
- Clipping 10 or more hours a month on a tight budget, and fine paying yearly: Reap Creator.
- Sources longer than 3 hours, or videos that live behind a Zoom, Drive or Riverside link: OpusClip.
- Testing before you pay: both have a free plan, and both watermark the exports.
- Weekly podcast episodes between 5 minutes and 3 hours, vertical only, no watermark from the first clip, and a score out of 10 with a reason on every clip: KeyMo. Only clips scoring 7 or higher are kept, so a weak episode returns fewer clips.
