Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026

The short version. Only upload videos you have the right to use. You keep ownership of your videos and of the clips KeyMo makes. Plans renew monthly or yearly until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends. The AI gets things wrong sometimes, so check your clips before you post them.

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the people who run KeyMo (“we”, “us”), for use of KeyMo (the “service”). KeyMo is a small, independently run software product. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

Our Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refunds Policy and Cookie Policy are part of these terms.

2. Who may use it

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must give accurate account details and keep your login secure. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
  • One person or company per account. Do not share logins.
  • You may not use the service if sanctions or export laws prohibit it.

3. What the service does

You upload a video file or paste a YouTube link. We transcribe the speech, use AI to choose moments or to edit the whole video, and render vertical clips with captions, zooms and effects. You can then edit a clip, ask the editing agent for changes, and download the result.

  • Clipping: uploads from 5 minutes to 3 hours, up to 10 GB.
  • Editing: videos from 15 seconds to 10 minutes.
  • Output is 1080×1920 at 30 fps, H.264 video with AAC audio.

4. Plans, minutes and billing

  • Minutes are counted on the length of the video you put in, not the number of clips you get out. Editing a whole video costs 2 minutes for every source minute, because rendering the full video costs us more.
  • Minutes are taken when a job starts and are returned automatically if the job fails.
  • Minutes reset each billing period and do not carry over.
  • Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Prices are shown before you pay and include tax where we must charge it.
  • Payments outside India are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record and whose terms also apply to that transaction. Payments in India are handled by Razorpay.
  • If a payment fails we may pause processing until it succeeds.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel from the Billing page at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund part of a period. Full details, including the narrow cases where we do refund, are in our Cancellation and Refunds Policy.

6. Your content

You keep ownership

You keep all rights in the videos you upload and in the clips the service produces from them. We claim no ownership of either.

The permission you give us

So that we can run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transcode, transcribe, analyse and display your content, and to send it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. This licence exists only to operate the service for you, lasts only as long as we hold the content, and ends when the content is deleted.

Rights you must have

You confirm that for every video you upload or link you either own it or have permission to use it, and that:

  • the video does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
  • everyone who appears or speaks in it has agreed to that use;
  • you have the right to let us process it as described above.

YouTube links. Only import a video you own or are authorised to use. Downloading someone else's video may breach YouTube's terms and their copyright. You are responsible for that choice, and you must tick the rights confirmation before we fetch a link.

7. What you may not do

  • Upload content you do not have the rights to, or content that infringes anyone else's rights.
  • Upload content that is illegal, sexual content involving minors, or material that promotes terrorism, hate or violence against people.
  • Create clips designed to deceive people about who someone is or what they said, including deepfakes and fabricated quotes.
  • Try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or get around usage limits, paywalls or rate limits.
  • Resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Scrape the service, or use automated access except through an interface we provide.

If you break these rules we may remove content, suspend processing or close your account. Where it is fair to do so we will warn you first.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, email [hello@yourdomain.com] with: your contact details; identification of the work; where the content is; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; a statement that your notice is accurate; and your signature.

We remove or disable content that is the subject of a valid notice and tell the account holder, who may send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

9. AI output

  • The service uses automated speech recognition and large language models. Transcripts, captions, titles, scores and edits can be wrong, especially with accents, background noise, names and numbers.
  • Scores and reasons are an opinion generated by a model. They are not a prediction or a promise about how a clip will perform.
  • Check every clip before you publish it. You are responsible for what you post.
  • The same or similar output may be produced for other customers from similar input. Output may not be eligible for copyright protection in some countries.

10. Availability and support

We aim to keep the service running but we do not promise any particular uptime while it is in early access. We may change, pause or withdraw features, and we will give notice of significant changes where we can. Support is by email at [hello@yourdomain.com], usually answered within one business day.

11. Our intellectual property

The service, its software, design, caption styles and brand belong to us. These terms give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active, and nothing more.

If you send us feedback we may use it without any obligation to you.

12. Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is used unlawfully.
  • When an account closes we delete its content on the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. Download anything you want to keep first.

13. Disclaimers

Except where the law does not allow it, the service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, or that the clips it produces will perform well on any platform.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost goodwill, and our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

15. Your responsibility to us

You agree to cover our reasonable losses if a third party claims against us because of content you uploaded, because you did not have the rights to it, or because you broke these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for changes that matter to you, email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and Indian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep any rights you have under the mandatory law of the place you live.

Please email us first: most problems are quicker to fix that way.
