Podsqueeze alternative: pricing, limits and a clips-only option
By the KeyMo team · Updated
Podsqueeze is a podcast production tool first: transcripts, show notes and posts, with a monthly cap on video clips and audiograms. KeyMo is built for vertical, captioned clips from video, each scored out of 10, with no watermark. Choose Podsqueeze for audio-first shows and written content, and KeyMo when the clips are the whole job.
Who Podsqueeze is for
Podsqueeze's homepage says "Automate Your Podcast Production & Promotion". The product turns an episode into a transcript, show notes, titles, blog, newsletter and social posts, audio enhancement, a podcast website, and clips or audiograms. Audio-only uploads become audiograms, and video uploads become video clips.
Clips come from chapters the AI detects. A "One click shorts (~60s)" option trims each chapter to under a minute. Subtitles are generated, can be edited, and are burned into short clip exports. This page compares the clip side only.

Where Podsqueeze is better
- A lower entry price: $8.99 a month, or $5.99 billed annually, against KeyMo's $12 for Starter.
- A free plan exists, and there is a trial route mentioned in the refund policy. KeyMo has neither.
- Everything around the clip. Transcripts with speaker labels, SRT export, show notes, blog and newsletter drafts, audio editing and a podcast website. KeyMo is built around clips, not these.
- Audio-only podcasts. Podsqueeze names MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and AAC uploads, and also lets you search for a podcast and convert YouTube links. KeyMo's input is MP4 or MOV video or a YouTube link on paid plans, so audio files are not on its list.
- Minutes rollover, a transcription API, and an Enterprise tier with team onboarding.
Where KeyMo is better
- Clip output you can check. Up to 15 clips per video, 9:16 at 1080x1920, 30 fps, H.264/AAC. Podsqueeze's pages say clip aspect ratio is customisable but do not state export resolution or watermark policy.
- No watermark on any plan, stated plainly.
- A quality filter. Each clip has a score out of 10 and a one-line reason, and only clips scoring 7 or more are kept.
- A clip allowance tied to the video, not to a monthly clip count. Podsqueeze Starter stops at 8 clips or audiograms a month, while KeyMo's targets run from 3 to 5 clips for a video up to 15 minutes, 8 to 12 up to 60 minutes and up to 15 for longer. Targets are not measured results.
- Twelve caption styles with word-by-word captions, face-tracking reframe, silence trimming, a chat editor, a music library and a ZIP export of every clip.
A worked example
Say you publish four 45-minute video episodes a month. That is 180 minutes of source. It does not fit Podsqueeze Starter's 120 minutes, so you would move to Pro at $49 a month on monthly billing, which also includes 20 clips or audiograms and the written outputs. The same 180 minutes fit inside KeyMo Starter's 300 for $12 a month, and each 45-minute episode sits in the 8 to 12 clip target for videos up to 60 minutes.
If you never use transcripts, show notes or posts, that gap is mostly paying for features you skip. If you do use them, Podsqueeze's extra cost buys a different product. For a broader shortlist, see best podcast clip generators and how to turn podcasts into social clips.
Refunds, limits and what is not stated
- Refunds. Podsqueeze allows a refund request on a monthly plan if you have used no more than 50% of your minutes or 100 minutes, whichever comes first, within the billing period. Annual plans can ask within the first 30 days. Forgotten renewals are not refunded.
- Cancelling. Dashboard, then Account, then Cancel Subscription; the plan stays active to the end of the period.
- Not stated on the pages we read: watermark on exports, export resolution, maximum source length for clips, caption style options and a language list.
Who should pick which
- Pick Podsqueeze if you run an audio-first show and want transcripts, show notes and posts alongside a few clips.
- Pick KeyMo if you record video and want scored, captioned, vertical clips and nothing else. See the KeyMo pricing page.
