Klap vs Vizard AI: clips against credits, free plans and limits, with KeyMo alongside

By the KeyMo team · Updated

Klap bills by clips and Vizard by credits, where one credit is one minute of uploaded video. Klap gives one free video with no watermark; Vizard has a monthly free plan, but its exports carry a watermark and projects expire after 3 days. Vizard takes much longer sources. KeyMo is $12 for 300 source minutes, with no free plan.

Klap vs Vizard at a glance

Both tools take a long, speech-led video and return short vertical clips with captions. They meter usage differently, so a sticker-price comparison misleads. All Klap and Vizard figures below were read from each vendor's own pages on 11 October 2026. Vizard shows only its lowest usage tier as a price; higher tiers exist but were not readable.

Clip finding

Klap's homepage says it works best on speaking video such as podcasts and interviews, and its podcast tool page says it needs video podcasts rather than audio-only files. Each clip gets a virality score from 0 to 100 that Klap defines itself, and you can set a target clip count and length. Its tool page estimates 10 or more clips from a 30-minute video and 20 or more from a 2-hour podcast. Those are vendor estimates.

Vizard's help centre recommends videos longer than 15 minutes and says background music, blurred or accented speech and poor audio can hurt transcription. You can steer clipping with a prompt or keywords, for example the part about fundraising mistakes. A prompt reduces the number of clips, and Vizard says it will not generate clips when the video lacks enough speech. That prompt control is the clearest difference in how the two find moments.

KeyMo scores every clip out of 10 with a one-line reason and keeps only clips scoring 7 or higher, so a weak episode returns fewer clips instead of padding. It has no prompt steering.

Editing after the clip

  • Klap: change fonts, colors, logos and framing, and edit by transcript. Its tool page says to highlight a sentence to keep it or strike it to cut it. It reframes to 9:16 and describes layouts for split-screen, screencast and gaming content.
  • Vizard: its homepage lists AI captions, AI emoji, AI B-roll, editing by deleting transcript text, brand templates, a timeline editor and a team workspace. Which of these sit on which plan could not be read from the pricing table, because the ticks are icons.
  • Both can publish directly. Klap names TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn; Vizard's free plan manages 1 social account, Creator 6 and Business 20.
  • KeyMo: 12 caption styles with word-by-word captions, a chat editor where you tell KeyMo what to change in a clip, music with moods and a ZIP export. It has no timeline editor.

Pricing

Klap's pricing page lists Basic at $14, Pro at $39 and Pro+ at $94 a month, all shown with yearly billing, for 100, 300 and 1,000 clips. It does not define a clip in minutes, so the limit cannot be turned into a price per minute. Its homepage FAQ also mentions Klap Pro at $29 a month, which conflicts with the pricing page. Check the live page before you decide. Full detail is on Klap pricing.

Vizard's lowest paid tier is Creator at $29 a month or $174 a year, from 600 credits a month. Business is $39 a month or $234 a year, adds a shared workspace and brand kit, and charges extra seats. Unused credits carry over, valid for 2 months on monthly plans and 13 on yearly plans. The help centre says unused Creator credits do not roll over if you move to Business.

Worked example: a 60-minute podcast uses 60 Vizard credits, one tenth of a 600-credit month. At $29 for 600 credits that is about $0.048 a source minute if you use the whole allowance. KeyMo is $12 for 300 source minutes, about $0.04 a minute, and Pro is $29 for 900. Vizard's own Opus comparison page is dated April 2025, so read vendor-written price comparisons with the date in mind.

Refunds differ. Klap's terms describe a full refund request in the first month, with a 25 July 2024 update date. Vizard says refunds apply within 7 days of purchase for unused services only, and using the service counts as used.

Free plans and watermarks

  • Klap: one free video, no credit card. It says it never adds a watermark, even on the free plan. This is a one-time allowance, not monthly.
  • Vizard Free: 60 credits a month, 720p export, exports carry a Vizard.ai watermark, projects expire after 3 days, and the free upload limit is 60 minutes.
  • KeyMo: no free plan and no trial. No watermark on any plan.

Who should pick which

  • Pick Klap if you want to test on a real video with no watermark, or you want an API open to every plan.
  • Pick Vizard if you want a monthly free plan to try, longer sources than 4 hours, prompt-steered clipping, or a shared team workspace.
  • Pick KeyMo if your source is an MP4 or MOV under 3 hours, you want predictable source minutes, and you would rather get fewer, vetted clips. See KeyMo vs Vizard for the full list.

Which has a free plan, Klap or Vizard?

Both offer something free. Klap gives one free video with no watermark. Vizard gives 60 credits a month, but Free exports carry a Vizard.ai watermark and projects expire after 3 days.

Does Klap or Vizard handle longer videos?

Vizard. Its help centre says up to 10 hours, though its pricing table says 600 minutes on paid plans. Klap's tool page says up to 4 hours in a single upload.

Can I choose what clips Vizard or Klap pick?

Do Klap and Vizard add a watermark?

Klap says it never adds one, even on the free plan. Vizard adds a Vizard.ai watermark on Free exports, and its Creator plan lists no watermark.

Is KeyMo a good third option to Klap and Vizard?
