How to remove the Submagic watermark, plan by plan
By Rakshit · Updated
Submagic's pricing page lists all three paid plans, Starter, Pro and Business, as no watermark. A FAQ on its AI Caption page says the free tier exports with one. So the way to remove the Submagic watermark is to export on a paid plan. Check the per-video length limit first, because it is 2 minutes on Starter.
When Submagic exports with a watermark
Submagic's pricing page shows paid plans only. Its headline says "No credit card required" but there is no free plan card on the page. A separate FAQ on the AI Caption page is where the free tier appears: it says the free tier processes 3 videos a month and that exports include a watermark.
The terms add that Submagic may, at its discretion, offer a subscription with a free trial for a limited time and may change or cancel that offer without notice. The pages we read do not say whether a trial export is watermarked, so do not assume either way. Check the export screen in your account before you share a file.
Which Submagic plans list no watermark
The pricing page lists "No watermark" on every paid plan. Prices appear as per member, and each plan has a lower monthly figure when billed yearly.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Credits | Longest video | Export |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $19 | $12 | 45, listed as 15 videos | 2 minutes | 1080p, 30 FPS |
| Pro | $39 | $23 | 120, listed as 40 videos | 5 minutes | 1080p on the cards; 1080p and 2K in the comparison table |
| Business | $69 | $41 | 300, listed as 100 videos | 30 minutes | 4K, 60 FPS |
The page also shows a custom plan through sales. It gives no price for it, and we did not read what it includes beyond custom limits.
Check the video-length limit before you pay
The watermark is only half the decision. The same pricing page lists a maximum video duration per plan: 2 minutes on Starter, 5 on Pro and 30 on Business. Those limits are counted in minutes, not hours, and a full podcast episode is far past them.
Submagic also sells Magic Clips, which finds moments in a long video. A FAQ on its AI Caption page prices that add-on at +$12 a month on annual billing, and another FAQ says it works on videos up to 30 minutes on the Business tier. The pricing page itself does not show the add-on price. So a 45-minute episode does not fit any listed limit, with or without the add-on.
Credits are a second counter. The page converts them at 3 credits per video, which is where "45 credits = 15 videos" comes from.
Before you upgrade: a short checklist
- Open the pricing page and find the longest video you plan to edit. If it is over 30 minutes, none of the listed plans fits.
- Decide whether you need Magic Clips. If you do, add the extra monthly cost to the plan price.
- Pick monthly or yearly. Yearly is cheaper per month, but the terms say annual plans renew for 12 months unless you cancel before the anniversary date.
- Read the refund line. Submagic's terms say "All monthly and annual fees are non-refundable."
- If you may cancel, note the path the terms give: Control Panel, then Billing, then Cancel Subscription. It takes effect at the end of the current period, with no refund for the period already started.
A watermark-free option for long episodes
KeyMo is built for the case Submagic's limits leave open: one long file in, a set of vertical clips out. It takes a pasted YouTube link on paid plans or an MP4 or MOV upload from 5 minutes to 3 hours, up to 10 GB, and exports with no watermark on any plan.
- Plans: Starter at $12 a month for 300 source minutes, Pro at $29 a month for 900. Yearly is ten times the monthly price. There is no free plan and no trial.
- Output: up to 15 clips a video, 9:16, 1080x1920, 30 fps, each scored out of 10 with a one-line reason.
- Captions: 12 styles, word by word, or none.
- Not offered: 16:9 or square exports. Submagic lists 16:9 and 1:1 as well as 9:16.
Submagic is stronger on 4K and 60 FPS output at the Business tier, and on editing by transcript. KeyMo takes sources from 5 minutes to 3 hours, which covers an hour of talking. The side-by-side is at KeyMo vs Submagic, and the Submagic alternatives page lists others. For general plan costs see KeyMo pricing.
