OpusClip watermark remover: what takes the watermark off
By Rakshit · Updated
Yes, OpusClip puts its watermark on Free plan exports and on videos exported during its free trial. Its pricing page lists watermark removal on the paid Starter plan and watermark-free export on Pro, so the official fix is a paid plan, not a separate remover tool. KeyMo is another route: it has no watermark on any plan.
Does OpusClip have a watermark?
It does, on the plans that cost nothing. OpusClip's pricing page describes the Free plan as 60 credits a month, up to 1080p rendered clips, "Has watermark", no editing, and says clips can no longer be exported after 3 days. Its help centre adds that videos exported during the free trial also carry the OpusClip watermark.
That explains the search you probably typed. If you ran a podcast through OpusClip, liked the clips, and then saw a logo burned into the corner of the download, you were on the free tier or inside the trial. The trial itself is described on OpusClip's homepage as 7 days of the Pro plan with 90 minutes of processing, but the watermark still applies to what you export in it.
OpusClip no watermark: the plans that remove it
OpusClip's own pricing page is the source here. Starter lists "Remove Watermark" in its features. Pro lists watermark-free export along with a longer export window. Business is custom-priced through sales.
| Plan | Price listed | Credits | Watermark | How long exports stay available |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 60 a month | Yes | 3 days |
| Starter | $15 a month, monthly only | 150 a month | Remove Watermark listed | 30-day limit on the pricing table |
| Pro | $29 a month, or $14.50 a month billed $174 yearly | 300 a month per pack | Watermark-free export listed | No limit |
| Business | Contact sales | Custom | Everything in Pro, plus custom items | No limit |
The Free row and the Starter row differ in more than the logo. Moving to Starter also changes the export window from 3 days to a 30-day limit, which matters if you batch-edit later in the week.
How far 60 free credits go
OpusClip's help centre says processing costs 1 credit per minute of the original video you import. A 30-minute video costs 30 credits. A video under a minute rounds up to 1 credit, and partial minutes round down.
So the Free plan's 60 credits cover about one hour of source video a month. A single hour-long podcast episode uses all of it. Starter's 150 credits cover two and a half hours, which is two full hour-long episodes plus a half. Pro's 300 credits cover five. Monthly credits expire after 60 days, so they roll over one extra month; yearly plans receive a full year of credits up front, valid for 12 months.
What this page does not cover
We do not cover tools that claim to strip a watermark from a finished OpusClip export. OpusClip's own pages describe a paid plan as the route to a clean export, and that is the only route this page recommends.
One gap is worth knowing about before you pay. The pages we read do not say whether a clip you already exported with the watermark can be re-exported clean after you upgrade. On the Free plan the clip may also be past its 3-day window by then. If you are in that spot, ask OpusClip support before you buy.
If you would rather start with no watermark at all
KeyMo exports with no watermark on any plan. It takes a pasted YouTube link on paid plans or an MP4 or MOV upload from 5 minutes to 3 hours, and returns up to 15 vertical clips at 1080x1920, each with a score out of 10 and a one-line reason. See KeyMo pricing.
| OpusClip Starter | KeyMo Starter | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $15 a month | $12 a month |
| Allowance | 150 credits, 1 per source minute | 300 source minutes |
| Free tier | Yes, with watermark | None; no trial either |
| Output shape | 9:16 only on Starter | 9:16 only, 1080x1920 |
| Link and file sources | YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom and more; local uploads | YouTube link (paid plans) or MP4 or MOV upload |
OpusClip is the better fit if you need a free tier to test on, more import sources, or Pro-level aspect ratios and 4K from a 4K source. KeyMo is the better fit if you want the watermark question settled before you upload and prefer scored clips over a long list. The full comparison is at KeyMo vs OpusClip, and other OpusClip alternatives covers the rest.
