What is Content Rewards? How the Whop clipping program works
By Rakshit · Updated
Content Rewards is a Whop feature where brands pay creators for the views their posts get. For clipping campaigns, a brand supplies long-form footage such as a podcast, clippers cut short clips, post them on social platforms, and the brand reviews each submission. Whop's docs say payment follows approval, and the amount depends on the views the post earns.
Who pays whom, and when
The brand funds the campaign. Whop's docs say a campaign is created first and funded afterwards, with payment options that include a whop balance, a card and Cash App, and that it then moves from “Pending budget” to “Active”. A brand can add budget later. Joining the Content Rewards whop is listed as free.
| Who | Sets or does | Source of the rule |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | Chooses reward rate, total budget, accepted platforms and its own rules; supplies the footage; approves or rejects submissions | Whop Docs |
| Clipper | Picks a campaign, makes clips from the supplied footage, posts them, and submits them for review | Whop join page and docs |
| Whop | Tracks views, runs an AI review and pays the creator automatically after approval | Whop Docs and blog |
The size of the reward is the brand's choice, set per thousand views, and Whop's pages do not fix a rate. Published example rates are marketing and vary by campaign, so this guide leaves them out.
A clipper's day, step by step
- Join the Content Rewards whop. Its navigation lists New Campaigns, Discover Campaigns, a Content Rewards Academy and a Link Social Accounts section, though this guide did not open those sections.
- Pick a campaign. Each lists a budget, a reward rate and the platforms it accepts. Read the rules the brand wrote: length, format, required messaging and prohibited content.
- Get the source. For clipping campaigns, the brand provides the footage and any assets you may use.
- Cut the clips. This is the slow part, and it is where a clipping tool earns its place.
- Post on an accepted platform and submit the post. Submissions go to the brand for review as Pending, and end up Approved, Flagged or Rejected.
- Get paid after approval, then withdraw through Whop's payout setup, which includes identity checks.
Whop's blog says a pending submission that the brand does not act on within 48 hours is approved automatically if Whop's review AI flagged it as legitimate. That is Whop describing its own system, and the page does not explain how that AI decides.
How to do Content Rewards with a clipping tool
Step 4 is where hours go. Finding the moments in a one-hour interview means scrubbing through the whole recording. KeyMo takes the brand's footage as an MP4 or MOV upload, or a pasted YouTube link on a paid plan, and returns up to 15 vertical 9:16 clips from a long video. Each one has a score out of 10 and a one-line reason. Clips below 7 are dropped, so you review a short list rather than the full recording.
- Choose a clip length that matches the campaign's rules: Auto is 15 to 90 seconds, Short 20 to 40, Medium 40 to 60 and Long 60 to 90.
- Pick one of 12 caption styles, or none, with word-by-word captions.
- Open a clip in the chat editor and tell KeyMo what to change.
- Export all clips in one ZIP, with no watermark on any plan.
Before you rely on any tool, check the campaign's rules on edited or software-made clips. Whop's public pages do not say whether AI-assisted clipping is allowed, so ask the brand. If Content Rewards seems not to be working
These checks come from the settings and steps in Whop's docs and blog, not from a clipper troubleshooting guide, and they are not a diagnosis of your case.
- Is the campaign Active, not Pending budget? A campaign goes live only once its budget is funded.
- Is your platform one the campaign accepts? Brands pick which social platforms they take submissions from.
- Is your post sitting in Pending, or has it landed in Flagged or Rejected? Each tab means something different.
- Does the video clear the brand's minimum payout setting? Below it, the video does not enter the review queue.
- Did you finish the payout setup, including KYC? Whop may also flag a withdrawal for compliance review.
If none of that explains it, contact the brand through the campaign or Whop support.
